Booking your STGA Tourist Guide

Let us do the work for you!

Most of our guides provide our STGA Booking Service with their availablity online and this booking system enables us to swiftly find just the right guide to meet your specific requirements.

The STGA Booking Service is available Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 17.00 hrs. If you call outwith these hours, you can leave a message, send a fax or an emergency number is  provided to assist with last minute bookings and late changes. We would ask you to kindly restrict calls outwith office hours for such emergencies only.

Booking Service Fees are payable to the STGA at the time of booking.

 

Assistance with itinerary and programme planning

Our booking service does not have the resources to give detailed assistance with programme and itinerary planning. However, please let us know if you require help, and we will ensure that the Blue Badge Guide we book for you is willing to provide this. You should however be aware that many Guides will charge extra for this service.

If you do not wish to book a guide, but require assistance with planning your programme or itinerary, our staff may be able to help but, dependant on the work involved, we may have to charge for this service. Scottish Tourist Guides AssociationCommendations and Complaints

We know many clients write glowing "thank you" commendations to their Guides, but the Guides are often rather too modest to pass these onto us. We love to know when our Guides have done a great job, and if you have no objections, we would like to use these in advertising and on our Website - so please let us know too!

In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your Guide, we recommend that this is pointed out immediately to the Guide. This gives the Guide the best possible opportunity to improve and meet, if not exceed, your expectations.

If you are still dissatisfied, the STGA have a Complaints Procedure. We ask that complaints are made in writing, as soon as possible, to the General Manager at the Stirling office. We take all complaints and comments very seriously. Please note, that in the pursuit of fairness, the STGA Guide in question is also notified of the complaint and is given an opportunity to respond.
